I got an iPhone 3g

It’s nearly identical to my “old” iPhone, but I got the larger 16gb version in black. If I was going to get an upgrade I was going to put a decent size bump on the 8gb i was struggling with (squeezing an iTunes library down from 117gb to 8 is crazy difficult for me). The build [...]

Bang and Olufsen A8 headphones

They’re perfect, save for not having a clicker for changing track/answering calls on my iPhone, they’re the best headphones I’ve ever had. Best thing about them would have to be either the leather case they come with, or the Bang and Olufsen customer service.

ThinkGeek :: Phantom Keystroker

This thing has to be one of the best prank items thinkgeek stocks, it’s just designed to randomly type/move the mouse cursor and bug whoever happens to be using the computer that the circuit board is plugged into. ThinkGeek :: Phantom Keystroker

Lego Mp3 players: I smell a lawsuit.

I recognize the headphones from somewhere, i don’t know where. The MP3 player looks good, but the lawsuits smell great, Apple and Lego could go nuts over this thing. I’d still buy one though :]

New Macbook and Macbook Pro models

Well, looks like it’s Tuesday again, Apple’s shop went down for a bit today and they updated the Macbook and Macbook Pro, with new penryn processors and more storage, otherwise they’re pretty much the same as the previous sku.
The macbook pro now has a multitouch trackpad, the low end macbook still only has a combo [...]

Sony updates its digital point-and-shoots

Sony seems to have point and shoot cameras all wrong right now, making their cameras with a decent lens (supplied via Zeiss), decent styling and easy to use software, the only thing they’re doing wrong is appealing to the people who look at megapixels over image quality (yes i know you’ll get an A1 print [...]

InvisibleSHIELD vs 1000lbs

I know it’s really overkill but take a look at this youtube video, these things really work.

Canon 450D announced, I’m glad I’ve got the 400D

This comes as a bit of a shock to me, Canon announced their new budget/starter DSLR the other day and I seem to really think it doesn’t matter as an upgrade from the 400D.
• 12.2 megapixel APS-C CMOS (1.6x focal conversion)
• 3-inch live view LCD (up from the XTi’s non-live-view 2.5-inch)
• DIGIC III image processor
• 9-point AF, 3.5fps shot [...]

Canon 5d Mark 2 semi-confirmed

The replacement for the Canon 5D, the 5D mark 2, looks almost certain now, thanks to a slip up on phase-one’s website, similar leaks happened before the 40d was released so this seems to be a fairly accurate way of knowing it’s coming soon. Here’s the page
The Canon 5D Mark II is rumored to include the [...]

Mass Production starts on the OLPC laptop

The One Laptop Per Child Program, in efforts to spread sub-$200 computers to schoolchildren in developing countries, has reached a milestone with the start of mass production.
The nonprofit spinoff from MIT said assembly lines for its “XO” laptops were fired up on Tuesday at a Quanta Computer factory in China. Meaning children (and donors) should begin getting the [...]
