In obvious news: iPhone 3G Launch Date June 9th

In accordance with everyone’s speculation, gizmodo has pulled this story out of their arse. They seem to think that they’ve got the scoop on the 3g iPhone release.
The article seems to base everything on “a secret undisclosed source”, which is the staple standard of the Apple rumour mill.
In other obvious news, fish swim, ducks quack and gizmodo isn’t [...]

iPhone sold out?

Apple’s online store seems to be out of iPhones.
I wonder why.

Apple makes windows software update easier for idiots.

Showing that people think windows users are idiots and need everything spelt out to them, Apple changed their windows software update program so that it now shows what is new software. It is, however, still checked by default so there will probably be some outcry about it still. Everyone’s doing it, installing things you don’t [...]

Mojo: the new Limewire.

Just when I thought P2P was stagnant, stuck on torrents and limewire, along came Mojo by deusty designs came along and changed everything. Limewire stuck to the basis that you were going to share content you wanted to share and that you would keep it in a certain folder (or folders) and that you would remove it when [...]

How Apple Got Everything Right By Doing Everything Wrong

One of the best apple articles I’ve read in the last year, detailing everything they find that Apple does wrong that makes so much sense for them to do. I think they do most things well, but some things just bug me (Apple employees getting fired for hacking iPhones, etc.) How Apple Got Everything Right By Doing [...]

Airport express gets N love

Apple replaced the 802.11b/g version of its Airport express monday, adding in 802.11n and leaving the price just where it was before. Connections for up to 10 users on Wifi, a printer and airtunes support. Great for people who haven’t already bought a time capsule. Apple Link

iPhone SDK announcement: March 6th

Apple today announced that they will be holding a press announcement, showing exactly what they’ve been putting into the SDK for the iPhone and the iPod touch. The enterprise bit in the image looks promising though. I’m looking forward to it.

New Macbook and Macbook Pro models

Well, looks like it’s Tuesday again, Apple’s shop went down for a bit today and they updated the Macbook and Macbook Pro, with new penryn processors and more storage, otherwise they’re pretty much the same as the previous sku.
The macbook pro now has a multitouch trackpad, the low end macbook still only has a combo [...]

Starbucks + Desktops?

The Starbucks staff never gave us any trouble at all. In fact, it didn’t seem like it occurred to them that the three computer users might have known each other. One employee walked by me and laughed. I asked him what was going on and he pointed at the three computer users and declared, “They [...]

In obvious news; The iMac will get a processor upgrade with the Macbooks

9-5Mac seems to think that the iMac will get a processor/motherboard upgrade with the rev to Penryn processors. Seeing as the iMac is built around the same chipset as the Macbook Pro, it kind of makes sense. One thing i’ll be looking for is if they’ll have blu-ray drives as an option on all higher [...]
