My macbook has a nice little crack in its palm rest, but Apple assured me that they would cover it seeing as so many macbooks have been known to have this problem.

My Girlfriend’s MB has the exact same crack - so Apple covers it? Good to know.

I had exactly the same problem. I took it to the apple store and they just replaced the cover. Apparently they have been getting a lot of the same issue. Hopefully Macbook pro and macbook air is not going to have the same problem.

Apple covered it under an out of warranty policy because it’s just the way the Macbook is made that makes it susceptible to cracks
