Most pay £0.00 for Radiohead’s album

According to the analysis company brought in to study the spending patterns of the people downloading Radiohead’s album “In Rainbows”, showing that most downloads were free. 62% of the downloads were put to customers for free, with the typical charge coming from people who paid to be around the £3. Somehow I figure that this can’t be really all that statistically accurate thanks to the amount of people that downloaded it the first time for nothing and went back and paid £7-10 for it if they liked it.

Let’s just hope other bands follow suit.

Radiohead also went out on a limb and have released their entire back catalogue on a usb key, it looks pretty cool as well as being encoded in WAV at a high bit-rate.
