10.03Gibson signs a deal with tronical: self tuning guitars
Gibson’s courtship of the self-tuning setup’s vendor, tronical, has been going on for a good while. Whilst the company’s main product has been available as an add-on for guitars, it’s never had the option direct from the manufacturer.
Their system uses 6 extra pickups, one directly under each string, to calibrate the guitar back to perfect pitch. It can also change between tunings with the help of the extra control knob, perfect for people who want drop-c or DADGAD tunings but don’t want to carry an extra guitar to a gig.
This really is a professional add-on to a gibson, for an extra £440 on top of anything that you pay for that model of guitar, you get it preinstalled.

O_O
Please make them for violas/violins…
